Choose your pickup time through our booking page. We require 24 hours' notice for Long Beach and Wilmington. We accept up to 3 pickups per time slot.
We need your Delivery Order, vessel name, Bill of Lading number, and VIN. The Delivery Order must name Ship2Shore Booking in the "Local Delivery or Transfer By" box.
Before heading to the port, we verify that the steamship line, customs, and gate-pass requirements are clear. The port cannot release a vehicle that has not been cleared.
Long Beach: once the vehicle is cleared and customs has finished, we set the appointment. When the terminal isn't busy, same-day service is sometimes possible, so call us. At the terminal we pick up a gate pass from security, present your Delivery Order at the office, and get the clerk's sign-off before we go to your vehicle.
Wilmington: we verify that all payments to the steamship line have been paid and that customs has cleared in the system. Once everything is verified and cleared, the gate pass is issued with your Delivery Order.
Matson: we call Matson with your vehicle's information to get a booking number, then schedule the pickup appointment.
You don't need a TWIC card and you don't go inside. We enter the secured port, locate your vehicle, and bring it to the gate.
Condition documentation is completed at the gate, including photos and video when required, and a condition report is signed at handoff.
Once the vehicle is at the gate, you complete the handoff and pay Ship2Shore Booking for the pickup service. We accept credit and debit cards through a secure invoice link, as well as Cash App, Venmo, Zelle and Apple Pay.
If your vehicle won't start or is low on air or fuel, we'll jump start it, add air, and provide two gallons of gas with the service if needed, so it can leave the port. Electric and hybrid vehicles, and anything more involved, are handled by a professional mechanic at the port.
Port and terminal hours can change. Pickup availability is based on the port's operating schedule and whether the vehicle and required paperwork are cleared before pickup.
